"MEET BETTY"
Caring for All Beings is a U.S. nonprofit organization. EIN: 38-3814169
Although I live in the United States, I have lovingly become "Mom" to Joshua and "Grandma Betty" to many of the children at Caring for All Beings Orphanage in the Democratic Republic of the Congo.
Hello, I’m Betty Delman.
I’m a mother of three and a grandmother of six. I owned and operated a fabric business for more than 40 years before retiring.
I never imagined that at this stage of my life—at three-quarters of a century old—I would be helping to run an orphanage in the Democratic Republic of the Congo alongside Joshua Mufabule.
Several years ago, God opened a door I never expected. Through Joshua, I learned about vulnerable children who were living without the safety, love, and support that every child deserves. What began as a desire to help has grown into a deep commitment to these children, who have become like family to me.
I am incredibly grateful to God for the opportunity to help provide food, housing, education, clothing, medical care when available, and hope for children who have experienced great hardship.
Although I retired from my fabric business, God had another plan for me.
Today, my greatest joy is seeing these children grow, learn, laugh, and dream about their futures.
Through Caring for All Beings, supporters from around the world can help provide a safe home, education, and opportunities for vulnerable children in the Democratic Republic of the Congo.
One of the things that brings me the most happiness is participating in live Zoom calls with Joshua and the children. These calls allow supporters to see the children, ask questions, and experience firsthand the work being done at the orphanage.
Thank you for taking the time to learn about our journey and the children of Caring for All Beings.
With gratitude,
Betty Delman
